Although my library consists mainly of books on Daoism, there are many other Eastern philosophies which provide inspiration.

Buddhism originated in India and then traveled to China, where it became a religion that has been followed to this day my many Chinese people. Up until the time of Mao Tse Tung, Daoism, Buddhism and Confucianism were taught together in the public schools of China.

Zen originated in Japan, and it's considered to be a combination of Daoism and Buddhism.

Yoga had its origin in India, and it's believed that the major text of Yoga - The Bhagavad Gita was written long before any other known book in the world. Although Yoga has been thought of as a physical practice in the West, the phulosophy of Yoga entails much more than the physical asanas.

BUDDHISM and ZEN

The Dhammapada
Translated from the Pali by P. Lal
I picked up my copy of Lal's Dhammapada in 1969, and I can see that there are many other translations available of the Dhammapada now. The Dhammapada is considered to be the complete teachings of Buddah.

YOGA

Bhagavad Gita
The Bhagavad Gita is to Yoga what the Dao De Jing is to Daoism. There are many English translations of it, each with their own spin. If you're interested in reading the Bhagavad Gita, my advice would be to search through the various translations until you find one that speaks to your heart.
I have two translations:
Baghavad Gita>/b> (or The Message of the Master), Yogi Ramacharaka
The Bhagavad Gita (As it is), Swami A. C. Bhaktivedanta

Patanjali
This is an extremely old text, and it's been said "Pantajali to Yoga is like Buddha to Buddhism". As with the Bhagavad Gita, there are many English translations of the words of Patanjali.
The version I have is:
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Charles Johnston

Autobiography of a Yogi
By Paramahansa Yogananda

The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga
By Swami Vishnudevananda

The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep
By Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche

Integral Yoga (A Concept of Harmonious and Creative Living)
By Haridas Chaudhuri
This book is a MUST-READ for anyone who is interested in Yoga.
